The Book of Eli

First andย for most, I’m very sorry for the low quality image of the movie. I couldn’t find a good one but it gets the job done so let’s move on. The setting of the whole move is found in an post-apocalyptic world where there are only countable numbers of people found and some of them even lost there sane. The movie is centered around a very special book which is wielded or carried around by Eli (Denzel Washington). Well I will not mention any scenes from the movie to avoid spoiling it to you, the readers.

As I said on my previous post, it is very often where I came across a movie which has religion on its plot. The book of Eli is believed to be the Holy Bible and to be the last one in the whole world. Now Eli will meet many kinds of people who’ll either kill him because of the items that he is carrying or help him with the mission that was entrusted to him. The movie is not that interesting at first but once you go in deeper and deeper in the movie you will get more and more interested for what might the outcome be. Eli even quoted a verse from the bible which gave me a hint on what kind of book he was carrying. To be more exact, he stated this…

In the sweat of your face shall you eat bread, till you return unto the ground; for out of it were you taken: for dust you are, and unto dust shall you return. — Genesis 3:19

The movie is quite good and the ending was very unexpected but now you know that the movie has a unexpected ending. The only thing that you should think of is what is that unexpected ending be? Even i didn’t expect it and find myself laughing and amused.

Along the road that we are walking, we might find some instances that we are alone and lost. When all hope is lost, just believe and have faith in Him. He will guide you, protect you and help you through the path that he has given you. Fulfill the mission that He entrusted to you and you will have an long and happy life with Him.
